Trash & Recycling

TRASH COLLECTION:

The Village of Yates City contracts with GFL Environmental for solid waste collection. Everyone within the city limits is required to have garbage collection. Most trash and debris, when bundled and/or contained properly, can be disposed of at the curbside in the large Red Tote/Cans provided to the homeowner. Garbage Pickup is Every Tuesday of the week and service charges are included in your monthly water bill.  If assistance is needed or you have questions please do not hesitate to contact GFL Environmental: (309) 637-6243

RECYCLING OPTIONS:

A large recycling dumpster is located in the public works equipment building lot for your convenience. NOTE: This is only available for village of Yates City residents ONLY!!!

HEAVY TRASH COLLECTION:

We also offer a Saturday Dumster Day twice a year, Spring and Fall. There is no charge for this service. Announcement of the dates can be found on our Calendar of Events page, The Weekly Post, and flyers posted locally.
